Publication: Croatian International Relations Review, Summer 2012, Vol XVIII, No. 66/67, effects of the political and economic crisis in the EU‏

The Croatian International Relations Review (CIRR) solicit articles for its next issue (Summer 2012, Vol XVIII, No. 66/67). The general theme of the next issue is effects of the political and economic crisis in the EU. Please see bellow the Call for Papers for more details.

CIRR is published by the Institute for International Relations (IMO), Zagreb, Croatia since 1995. As of this year, we switch from the print edition to an electronic one and replace subscription with free access
(www.cirr.imo.hr) Please note that the site is currently under construction.

CIRR is primarily an academic journal indexed in relevant databases.
However, we may also publish select articles from a professional point of view relevant to the given theme of each issue. Please direct any correspondence to cirr@irmo.hr

CALL FOR PAPERS

Croatian International Relations Review (CIRR), published by the Institute for International Relations (IMO), is a peer-reviewed journal devoted to the study of international relations in a range of disciplines within the social sciences and humanities. It welcomes submissions not only from political science, but also from sociology, economics, psychology, philosophy, defence studies and other relevant fields. CIRR has been published since 1995 and this year it switches from a print to an electronic edition fully accessible on the journal's website cirr.imo.hr (currently under construction).

CIRR is indexed in the following databases: International Political Science Abstracts - IPSA, Public Affairs Information Service - PAIS, CSA Worldwide Political Science Abstracts, CSA Social Services Abstracts, CSA Sociological Abstracts.

The next issue (Summer 2012, Vol. XVIII, No. 66/67-2012) focuses on the effects of the political and economic crisis in the European Union understood in very broad terms. This topic has additional relevance for Croatia which is on its way to full-fledged EU membership next year.
Articles that address the effects of the Eurozone crisis on future enlargement; how the crisis reshapes the region of Southeast Europe; the dynamics among old and new, small and big member states; the fears of and expectations from the EU run by a few core states; the EU as a global player in the global crisis; and similar topics are of particular interest. We welcome submissions from students, professionals and scholars.

Abstracts of the proposed papers should not exceed 150 words and are expected by March 4th 2012. The selected authors will be requested to send their full papers by April 30th 2012, but early submissions are highly encouraged. We will respond without delay to all inquiries. Articles reflect the views of their authors only.
