Internship: Public International Law and Policy Group, Sarajevo‏

The Public International Law and Policy Group (PILPG) http://publicinternationallawandpolicygroup.org/ is seeking an Intern (non-remunerated) for its project in Bosnia and Herzegovina. PILPG is implementing a two-year project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) aimed at supporting BiH NGOs, activists and civic leaders to play a stronger and more integral role in identifying and proposing reforms needed to strengthen BiH’s Euro-Atlantic integration processes, stability, security and prosperity.

The Intern will be based in Sarajevo, and will support the PILPG program team in every aspect of project implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support the Project in identifying and building relationships with NGOs, activists and civic leaders interested in reform issues, in order to create an ongoing dialogue on civic needs and interests in support of broader reform processes 
• Review media sources (print, broadcast and alternative) to understand trends in reporting on reform and methods of using media tools in support of advocacy efforts
• Conduct background research supporting project needs
• Organizational and logistical support for project activities
• Light translation
• Other duties as required by the Chief of Party/Program Manager

Requirements:
• University degree (preferably in Social Sciences or Law)
• Research and analytical skills
• Microsoft Office and Internet literacy
• Professional knowledge of English (verbal and written)
• Professional knowledge of Bosnian-Serbian-Croatian
